Conversion through name change
GeneralPosted by Thinker 2008-06-26 11:01I was reminded of a previous colleague today - he needed to convert some 100's of TIFF images to the JPEG format. He did this by changing the extension of the file names.
The lesson today is: When telling people to upload images in PNG format, make sure they are not just nodding but actually understand what an image format is and how to save images in that format.
Fortunately we only wasted an hour at work spotting this flaw...
